Now to qualify my brilliant advice, I should add that my wife and I have been together for 36 years, married for 34 next month, so its been awhile since I've actually "dated". The above advice is basically what I did and look how I ended up. May be a good or bad consequence, depends on your point of view.

Eh, she stood me up for our third date, which we had planned as a picnic to the mountains.  This was not some spur of the moment thing, we planned it for a few days.  I called several times to find out what was wrong and received no reply.

I'm not too worried about it.  I didn't think we were making much of a connection on those first two dates, anyway.
