RIP Nick Bockwinkel. He was one of my all-time favourite pro wrestlers to watch whether it was competing in the ring, delivering eloquent interviews or being enlightening on commentary. A real class act and honestly one of the first people I think of when I hear the words pro wrestling world champion.

Last week marked 10 years since Eddie Guerrero's death.  I rank Eddie pretty highly, and I legitimately cried when he died.

I remember feeling very saddened by Owen Hart's unfortunate death, then later Eddie's. Both were great and arguably underrated in-ring performers. Recall also being saddened by the early deaths of Brian Pillman and Davey Boy Smith. The Hart Foundation will forever remain one of my favourite wrestling factions.

I can't buy into today's overly phony wrestling gimmicks and emasculated p***y characters...these guys were wrestlers I could buy into - they seemed to live the gimmick and it wasn't so far removed from them as it is today's performers...

Now these guys never seemed to be anything but bad asses and beasts in the ring...yeah with these guys, most of whom were also great talkers, you could really get into watching the show. Add names like Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Ole Anderson, Paul Orndorff to the list too.

I bought WM 19 and watched it for the first time since it aired live. I have to say that it held up well. One of the best ever IMO.

I just bought WM 20, not one of my favorites but I found it on sale for $2.99 and I couldn't pass it up at that price.

No way he has matches anywhere near as good in the E as he had elsewhere. They water everybody down, take away their edge. I no longer watch Raw or really the E at all anymore. I do still watch TNA, Paragon Pro Wrestling, and footage from elsewhere but I do strongly prefer the wrestling of the 80s and 90s, even 1970s, to today. Way too much goofy dumb crap in wrestling nowadays, way too much boring talking, way too many bothcy wrestlers who don't know what they're doing in high positions.
