And Bob Backlund returned to WWE Raw tonight and quickly made Heath Slater tap to the Cross Face Chicken Wing. Yay! Yeah I admit I marked out for that a bit. Sadly I don't think many knew who Backlund was anymore.

I literally turned off my tv last night when the the Anonymous GM was revealed. Out of everyone on the roster for the big build up and reveal of who it was they chose the little troll as the mastermind.

I think that was a last minute deal with Hornswoggle. Whomever they may have had in mind, possibly a legend, may have been unable to do a contract or some such.

But it does kinda make sense. We never really see him involved. And, when that started, he WAS a mute. And he was always around despite no storylines.

Mr. Excitement would've been a  much better choice. Infact, when he first became a regular on air character I was convinced he was the GM.

I wonder many episodes "Superstars of Wrestling" ran back in the kayfabe era and they didn't consider wrestling a weekly "episodic series" but a weekly sports show...I'd assume it's quite a lot.

Here's my take on CM Punk turning heel. They did it because Punk was getting more over than Cena. They can't have that because despite beeing heavyily booed for the last 3-4 years they have become fixated on the idea that he has to always be the face of the company. Always. Yet another perfect chance to finally turn Super Cena heel and they didn't do it.
