Is it just me or has Smackdown become incredibly dull and boring since Wrestlemania? I feel like I can miss it and relatively speaking not miss anything.

Smackdown is a shell of what it used to be. Combination of the roster & creative staff. It was great when it started, but my favorite timeframe was '02-'04. Paul Heyman was creative director and his roster included: Angle, Big Show, Hogan, Piper, Edge, Los Guerreros, Benjamin & Haas, Rhyno, the cruiserweights, Christian. The matches and angles were must-see.

Now, not so much.

Only 5 men have a a title reign in the 400 day territory.

That's pretty amazing. Where would Punk be if not for the Nash/Del Rio idiocy? 440ish?

EDIT: I checked and since Punk's reign would backtrack to Money in the Bank 2011 he would be at 526 at this point.


Anyway, this just reinforces my belief that whoever beats Punk for the title is going to get a HUGE rub and that it should a first time champion who isn't as incredibly limited as Ryback.

Yeah Ryback is incredibly limited. I hope they keep the title on Punk until at least Wrestlemania. Hope they don't have the Rock win it at the Rumble as his appearances are so limited and sporadic. Really hope we see something with Punk and Lesnar at some point in the future. If I could pick who should upend Punk, I'd probably go with one of The Shield - probably Dean Ambrose. Although you know it would make sense for Ziggler to target Punk now he's aligned with A.J. given their history. Also wouldn't mind seeing Kane and Daniel Bryan getting back in the title picture.
