Caught this one over the weekend...set during world war 1, the film is both a war movie and a horror flick. Several British soldiers waste a squad of Germans and take over their trench. They are ordered to guard the area until further notice. Unfortnately, the trench is haunted by an evil force, and the men slowly begin to turn on one another. The movie's brilliance comes from the fact that the eerie supernatural forces are only half the battle; the really scary parts are the harsh realities of war. Be warned: this is a thinking man's film, and certain parts might not appeal to those only looking for a cheap scare. Catch it on fearnet before its gone, or rent it asap. Worth it just to see Andy Serkis in a non-CGI role.

"Tonight, we will honor the greatest writers in America with a modest 9 by 12 certificate and a check for three thousand dollars...three thousand dollars? Stephen King makes more than that for writing boo on a cocktail napkin." - Jimmy Breslin

Has its moments.  I didn't think it was really that creepy or suspenseful though.  Andy Serkis's character was quite entertaining.  Worth a rental.
