A few days ago I bought Beyond The Law, Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke, and Meatballs.

I had never seen Meatballs but heard a lot of good things about it.  I thought Bill Murray was really funny in it but nothing else in it really stuck out all that much.

I'd seen Cheech and Chong before and it is great.

Beyond The Law is a semi-old biker movie that HBO produced in 1991.  It stars Charlie Sheen and it is a lot like that other biker movie from around the same time called Stone Cold.  It has basically the same plot but I think this is where Stone Cold got it's idea for a plot.

Kooshmeister

Having made my very first purchase online (fye.com, got a gift card), I just now purchased and will receive in about a week THIS beauty:

Am I a geek for being incredibly excited to get this one?  Be honest.

Just got The Running Man from Walmart for 5 dollars.  Also got double feature dvd with Militia and The Curve on it.  Militia is a military thriller starring Dean Cane.  The Curve is pretty much a serious dead man on campus starring Matthew Lillard.

Also went to a dollar store and got High Risk, It Sounded Like a Good Thing at the Time(early early John Candy movie), The Street Fighter, Return of The Street Fighter, The Bodyguard(old Sonny Chiba martial arts movie), and The Great St. Louis Bank Robbery(early Steve Mcqueen movie).  I got all those for the great price of $2.60.  I'm surprised they didn't just give them to me. LOL

Pilgermann

I picked up the Samurai Collection at Half-Price books yesterday.  It was open and sold like it's used but I think they had a few and they all looked new.  It contains G. I. Samurai, Legend of the Eight Samurai, and Ninja Wars, and the box is pretty.

I also ordered Combat Shock based on enthusiastic recommendations around here.

JJ80

I snapped up Red Dwarf Series 1 & 2 out of Borders's sale as well as Cronos.

I think I'm going to take a break from buying DVDs for a short while.  Anyways, these two were eBay auctions I somehow won with very low bids.

Del Tenney Collection - The Horror at Party Beach/The Curse of the Living Corpse/Violent Midnight (aka Psychomania)
Dementia 13 - Hopefully the listing wasn't misleading and this really is the Roan Group release that has commentary 'n' stuff.

Torgo

I picked up these 3 DVD's today at Best Buy:

LOST HIGHWAY

LUST, CAUTION  (NC-17 theatrical version)

COP LAND  (director's cut special edition)
"There is no way out of here. It'll be dark soon. There is no way out of here."

Joe the Destroyer

Picked up Rozen Maiden vol 1 special edition, and vol 3.  This works out, with vol. 2 already in my possession.  The only downside: Geneon went under before 5 and 6 could see the light of day.  So, I have to hope someone can pick them up and finish the series, else the bootlegs I have will take their places.

A few good titles so far (had it for about a week): Bad Taste, Track of the Moon Beast, Metamorphosis (Those last two are almost the same in pace and plot hook but not in method) as well as many titles I've never heard of, though I think one or two might be listed around here somewhere. Also:

Possibly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen :drink:
