The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Shaw Brothers:
The Boxer's Omen

Back of the box...
"After suffering an injury in the ring, an embattled boxer enlists the aid of his brother, Chen Hung, to avenge him and find the key to an omen which may release their family from an ancient curse. Black wizards, Taoist monks, rampaging monsters, spooky apparitions, beastly crocodile skeletons, flying human heads, a sexy female zombie with long talons, and demonic bats lie in store for our hero, whose trials form one of the most outrageous, horrific, dazzling spectacles in action-horror history."

I can smell ants.

Ghost Rider

Nice! Somebody else who liked the movie besides my fiancee and myself! I'm hoping to get this for Father's Day... despite not having any children... somehow I doubt that will work out for me...

Today's mail harkened forth used VHS copies of Girls' Nite Out and Body Slam. One features a guy in a dancing bear costume killing the prerequisite "sexy teen girls" and the other stars Dirk Benedict and Roddy Piper. Fun.

Joe the Destroyer

Back from vacation and I snagged quite a bit since last posting:

Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster
Invasion of Astro-Monster
Green Street Hooligans
Saw 2 Special Edition

and I just ordered Pay It Forward and Memento Mori.

Last night my friend burned me copies of Dead Next Door and Demons 2, and I just ordered Hideous!. I've never seen Hideous!, but I did see Head of the Family. Same director I believe.

Raffine

Just ordered! Includes the restored versions of the mini-features POPEYE MEETS SINBAD THE SAILOR and POPEYE MEETS ALI BABA AND HIS FORTY THIEVES!

I dearly love those Fleischer Popeye cartoons.

I was very happy to see they are finally getting a proper collected release, rather than a few bad random prints showing up on Public Domain  "KARTOON KLASSICS" discs.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Remember the AWFUL Popeye movie with Robin Williams?  I saw that when I was like, 14 or so and loved it.  As an adult I could never find it in any of the video stores, and finally a couple or three years ago our local Hasting's got a copy.  My wife and I (she watched it with me in 8th grade) watched it again and could not BELIEVE how truly awful it actually was!  A real classic of BAD cinema!

Well, for some mindless action, I just bought Smokin' Aces ( maybe I'll see Alicia Keys naked) :twirl:

Fun (if not completely schizophrenic) movie, but keep hoping for nekkid Alicia my friend... not that she doesn't look plenty hot throughout.

Snagged Enemy Mine from the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart.

Dolemite

Good stuff. I'm surprised I haven't gotten this till now. I do love my black cinema.

Amontillado

Just got Ren & Stimpy's Lost Episodes. Real twisted stuff, but some of the funniest R&S moments ever. There are only six episodes on two discs so think about it before you drop more than $20 New on it. It was at Best Buy for $25, but I had a gift card. I'd order it or something along those lines. I wouldn't have paid any more that $20 of my own money on it.

Dolemite rules.
