Which movies have gone to far with the sequels?

I'd say anything that's become a "franchise" film would apply, especially if it's had a TV series or "re-envisioned" version produced.  Of course I'm talking about movie franchises like. . .

Alien (Is Alien vs Predator 2 really in production?!?)
Amityville
Emmanuelle (Yes, I said it!  This franchise just goes too far!!!!)
Friday the 13th
Halloween
Hellraiser
Highlander
Nightmare on Elm Street  (I got talked into seeing the 3D one at the theatre, 'nuff said.)
Witchcraft (how did these ever get made?)
Star Trek (Why does G-d need a starship?)
Star Wars (Mesah thinks the prequels jumped thisah herah shark!)

But the one movie franchise that's just gone on well beyond it's expirey date, in my opinion, has been the. . .

[WHATEVER] of the Living Dead

Seriously when you're reduced to releasing not one but multiple sequels straight to sciffy then onto video you've hit a new cinematic low.

How many of you fine people here have seen the horrible sequels to "Jaws"? "Jaws 2" wasn't that bad, even cool at some points, but "Jaws 3D" and "Jaws: The Revenge" were total ripoffs. They went too damn far with those two, just too damn far...... Thanks to those two, I can never fully enjoy the original one......

Yes, AvP 2 is in production but they've already said they're making it a rated R feature.  I still have hope for both franchises.  I didn't think AvP 1 was all that bad...it could have been a lot better but it was watchable.
