Have you heard his new album "Give Me Your Soul..... Please"?  While I don't particularly care for the drum sound on it, it is a really solid album.  I prefer his more classic stuff like Abigail, Them and Conspiracy myself (Fatal Portrait as well), but this new album is pretty good stuff.

Now I'm listening to MEATLOAF  "Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell".

I'd guess as much, seeing its prominent ranking in your Top 10 list... I don't care for the phrase "of all time," but it's just a pet peeve   

I've been into this album hardcore since it came out in 1993. I was a big fan of the 1st Bat Out of Hell but the 2nd one has always just really clicked with me and I prefer it to the 1st all the time. It's just a fantastic album from start to finish and always get me in a good mood.

It's always been in my top 10 favorite album lists for quite some time.

I need to pick up some Roxy Music BTW.  Had some of their stuff on tape way back when but I need to find a really good anthology of some sort of their stuff.

I remember seeing Yngwie Malmsteen 20 years ago (SHEESH has it been that long???) in 1987 with Saxon and Black 'N Blue opening for him.

Who do you think was the best vocalist to work with him?

I perfer the guy he had on the 1st 2 or 3 albums I believe. I'm not that familiar with his stuff that much after that, but the guy on the 1st Rising Force album was great.    He changed his lineups so much that it was about as difficult of keeping track of like NFL team lineups in the age of free agency.

Puppet Master was really good, but I kind of felt that he's just been doing the same thing over and over.  I actually thought that the 1st 2 reunion Mercyful Fate albums in the early 90's were great and I wish that he would properly put Fate back together and just put his solo career on hold for a while.

Bat Out Of Hell II: Back In Hell was that all music composed by Jim Steinman?  That record is out of print?  I think MEATLOAF is hugely underappreciated. 
ROXY MUSIC:  There is a collection available, but I'm not overfond of all the selections.  I burned a three volume collection for a good friend of mine.  Send me your email; I'll email you some ROXY MUSIC.  If you want a place to start, I would recommend Country Life.  If you have a pulse, you will love this record.

There is a very cool live rock band at the end of this CD that was not used in the film, but recorded for it.  "Carnival Rock!"  Love it!  Lo-ove it!
