I just finished listening to William Shatner's Has Been for the very first time.
My God.  That was brilliant.
I CAN get behind that.
I hear nothing but good things about it... due to this additional praise, I just ordered it 5 minutes ago thru Amazon (along with a record I know too well: The Transformed Man ... well, I did say I liked BAD MUSIC too...  :teddyr:)
I'm again listening to CAPTAIN BEEFHEART and HIS MAGIC BAND's Strictly Personal.  I really like the BLUES:

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

HappyGilmore

"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

One of dozens of INK SPOTS "best of" collections, 18 tracks of their very best, this is the closest program of the collection I'm listening to that I could find on Amazon; The pic from Amazon is a collection I had on vinyl :
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Really like the remake of Mad World on this one, you may remember it from the Xbox commercial, Gears of War.
I see you are playing stupid... Looks like you're winning

Big time Karma.  I thought I was the only one to have heard of them.  Their version of Mister and Mississippi is phenomenal.  You've inspired me.

If one were to dig deep enough, such as this would also be found in my collection.

I have the Ink Spots think they're great ... well the older group as they have gone threw a few members over time. The 40's and 50's spots were best. I also have the Platters, the Miracles, Basin Street Boys, Charioteers, Delta Rhythm Boys, Mills Brothers, Orioles and a bunch .... I recccomend them all!

Thanks Izzydedjet.     I like BURL IVES, too!  Cheezeflix, I have many of those artists you list, I love the old R&B and predecessors like THE MILLS BROTHERS and THE INK SPOTS.

Now listening to LOUIS ARMSTRONG Meets OSCAR PETERSON

It's that time of year again and I usually make a new mix-cd of horror movie music that is store-play appropriate for when I go to the record store on the weekends.  I have a lot more to work with at home, but this rough draft is made up of the music I have on my office workstation:

1. Prison Introduction
from Escape From New York
"Attention!  You are entering the debarkation area.  No talking.  No smoking."

2. Main Title
from Escape From New York
by John Carpenter

3. Apoteosi Del Mistero
from City of the Living Dead
by Fabio Frizzi

4. The Evil Is Gone!
from Halloween
"He's gone!  He's gone from here!  The evil is gone!"

5. Lights Out
from Halloween
by John Carpenter

6. Baby Sequenza 4
from Manhattan Baby
by Fabio Frizzi

7. Snake Plissken
from Escape From New York
"I don't give a f**k about your war, or you president."

8. The President Is Gone
from Escape From New York
by John Carpenter

9. Main Title
from Assault On Precinct 13
by John Carpenter

10. Welcome To Videodrome
from Videodrome
by Howard Shore

11. Prologue/Main Title
from Re-Animator
by Richard Band

12. They're Not Dead Yet
from The Thing
"It could have imitated a million life forms on a million planets..."

13. Sterilization
from The Thing
by Ennio Morricone

14. Mac's Message
from The Thing
"Nobody trusts anybody now.  We're all very tired."

15. L'Alba Dei Morti Viventi
from Dawn of the Dead
by Goblin

16. Verso L'Ignoto
from The Beyond
by Fabio Frizzi

17. Halloween Theme
