Wow.  Better than I could have hoped.  Though an obvious product of its era, it's as good as anybody else's efforts, and would sure make pleasant listening on a summer patio afternoon... Really, surprising.  Poor DENNIS WILSON never knew his one album would become an artifact, like a derided painting not of its time, that still has the power to master...and to change... Now admired and remembered, Pacific Ocean Blue is a real find, partly because that is what this record is all about, being lost in time, lost in fame as a pretty drummer boy, lost in the seemingly endless rhythms of the ocean... What a wonderful surprise!!

Kind of give you an idea of the band if you have never heard them:

Really good music.  Love the nautical sound of many of their songs.

I had trouble with youtube clips these days, they always seem to stall for me... but listened to enough to realize, I think I like THE DECEMBERISTS, too.

What the heck ever happened to Creed?
Pretty much from what I can tell, the lead singer was a total a***ole, became an alcoholic and the band broke up.  So he's working solo on his own albums, while the band formed a new band called Alter Bridge, with a new singer.  They're pretty good.

Best part is, Creed got sued by some fans a few years back, because there was a concert, and the singer was so drunk/inebriated that he stumbled around the stage, forgot the lyrics he wrote and put on a terrible show.  I don't think they won, but I remember seeing it on MTV and 20/20.
