JOE COCKER   "Gold"

Saw JOE COCKER at the Garden State Arts Center... STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN opened for him (it was 3 or 4 weeks before STEVIE was killed...)  After STEVIE's awesome show, half the audience got up and walked out, before JOE COCKER came on...!!!  I really did stand up and shout at the mass exodus: "Where y' all going...??  JOE COCKER's COMIN' ON!!!"  JOE was awesome, too.  One of the best shows I've been to was those two double billed.
