Don't know what it is, but I've been listening to him.  I wonder if any stores carry him.

I really like Leon Redbone, even though I don't own one of his albums (yet).  Yeah, stores carry him; he has a cult following.  He shouldn't be hard to find.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Boris - Smile

A hard rocking, noisy, experimental Japanese band.  Interesting, I may well listen to more of this.  This is probably the closest I'll ever come to listening to metal.

Sample:  Ka Re Ha Te Ta Sa Ki -- No One Grieve

I would assume he'd be in the 'jazz' section, then?  I may check it out next weekend, after I get paid.

It's rumored he lives nearby here, too.  Maybe a 45 minute drive, if that.

I'm listening to NEIL YOUNG Comes A Time
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Zappa, "Sheik Yerbouti" and "Joe's Garage"

Two albums EVERYONE should listen to at least once.

FYI, Do NOT play 'Sheik Yerbouti' while out on a first date, song 3 on side 1 might be a little much.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Happiness is green text in the "Stuff To Watch For" section.

Sorry. :buggedout:

I really didn't know he was like, that readily available.  MOST people I know don't even know who he is.  I just started listening to him recently, myself.  He's really good from what I've heard, but downloading stuff only gets you so many songs, so I asked.

I don't know what section he would be stocked in: jazz? blues? folk? regular old pop/rock?  He's a bit hard to classify.

Check out his wikipedia page: it's kind of cool that no one seems to know anything about his real identity.  At times, it's believed he was the alter-ego of either Andy Kaufman, Don Novello or Frank Zappa... 2 out of three of those guys are dead now, so that should narrow down the field.

BACH, J.S.: Cantatas, Vol. 12 (BWV 147, 21) perfromed by Bach Collegium Japan

I'll be listening to this all week.  Two of the greatest/most popular Bach cantatas, made for deep listening.

Everyone knows this melody from 147.  Contrast with the darker, despairing sound of 21.

:bouncegiggle:  Do not misunderstand.  I am impressed that you came to LEON REDBONE (of all artists) by yourself, a happenstance.  I say "Are you kidding me?" because I can't believe you discovered him at all!!  Keep up the good work, you'll be a rich man someday.

I'm listening to PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS Band On The Run

Now, RAMONES.
