PINK FLOYD The Piper at the Gates of Dawn

Hmm.  Thank you.  That's one Floyd album I have to get.  Problem is, I work too much to get out and buy anything new.

"Music of Hair" by Andrew Bird

Very early recording, substandard sound quality unfortunately, very traditional and nothing like his later work (not a bad thing IMO!)

Sample: Pathetique

I kind of agree about "Piper" being overrated.  Other than the opening number "Astronomy Domine", which I love, none of the other tracks appeal to me much.  I didn't like the Syd-era singles, either.  IMO Floyd didn't hit it's stride until "Atom Heart Mother" and lost it badly with "The Wall."

"Live in New York City 1982" by David Bromberg Quartet

Bromberg is a criminally underappreciated roots/american/blues/country multi-instrumentalist.  Played with Dylan, among others.

Sample: The New Lee Highway Blues

Well, I think The Wall is underrated.    Atom Heart Mother has never been well regarded, but I like it.
