Been listening to a pair of albums by a quirky hard rock band from Denmark called D.A.D. (originally known as "Disneyland After Dark" till the House of Mouse stepped in with a cease-and-desist...) No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims from 1989 and Riskin' It All from 1991.

They're kind of a hard band to categorize. They were marketed as a hair metal band, but they had this weird, retro-cowpunk kind of sound going on too, with lots of twangy Duane Eddy style guitar...an interesting mix. They lyrics are weird, too. Part of that may be due to the language barrier but I get the feeling they're mostly in-jokes and word play that only the band members would understand.

They're still together and still putting out albums in Europe, but these two CDs were their only American releases.

I saw DAD supporting Ozzy back in '92. They played Bad Craziness as their opener and then finished with it again. Most of there set seemed very blues orientated.

:lookingup:  I can't help myself... I like a lot of it, and am revolted by parts two or three times =skip=   :teddyr:  I had the 45 for "Let Em In" and bought it when it was new... over 40 years ago...  I might still have it!   :lookingup:

Oh, I like them...  listening now.  The first video is ridiculous.  The song is cool. 
That second video... who doesn't love claymation puppets???   :question:  Then there's the band's look...  :lookingup:
