A good friend of mine started making his own "indie" horror movies a couple of years ago. Last year he shot much of the latest one in my house and in the woods and the old outbuildings surrounding it. And yes, Gunnar Hansen and Edwin Neal (together again!) were here for about a week. I even got to drive Gunnar to the grocery store to buy ingredients for a delicious cheese dip he made for the cast and crew!

Here's the teaser trailer:

Oh man...
That movie looks unbelievably bad.  Kind of reminded me of Troll 2 budget acting.
It looks downright painful.

What exactly is it supposed to be about anyway?

People keep asking me that...  :bouncegiggle: )

As far as I can tell:
A family of hillbilllies is haunted by some people in Injun costumes. Some guys in a mixture of Union and Conferderate uniforms run around and chase the Injuns and some slaves up and down a path in the woods. One of the Union/Confederate soldiers almost breaks his neck trying to ride my neighbor's horse 'Snip'.  Not wanting to miss out in the fun, Snip's brother 'Sneak' tries to bite one of the Injun's head off.

Suddenly, Gunnar and Ed chase each other around and yell a lot. At some point Ed wears a fake beard and acts real crazy and makes my dogs bark. Then they all almost burn my house down by setting fire to some old furniture they threw in the front yard, nearly giving me a heart attack. The dogs barked some more. ADT Security Systems was not amused. THE END.

I'm sure I'm missing some important plot points in there somewhere. I wasn't privy to the insane asylum stuff.

Explaination: I use the term "Injuns" and not "Native Americans" because the costumes reminded of the "Injuns" that used to turn up on shows like F-Troop and The Munsters:smile:

Oh, and one of the Injuns was a real wise-ass and wound up with a really nasty case of poison ivy because he refused to listen to me.  :teddyr:

It was extremely cool meeting Gunnar and Ed. Gunnar particularly is a fascinating guy.

I got an autographed 'Leatherface' photo from Gunnar a couple of years ago when he was here filming some scenes for another movie.  I've also got an embarrassing "fanboy" photo made with him holding a mini chainsaw to my neck while I act all scared. I use it for my inter-office bio photo at work.  :teddyr:

This last time I tried to play it 'cool' and would just 'chill' with them on the front yard sitting around in lawn chairs between shots.  Now I wish I'd gotten them to sign my kitchen wall, or something.  :hatred:
