The Burgomaster

I bought the DVD a few months back.  Some of the mannequin scenes are genuinely creepy and Chuck Conners is pretty creepy himself.  This is definitely more enjoyable than some other (more famous) horror flicks.

Netflix has a copy. Looks like fun RCMerchant. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

Heh heh, I love this flick! I saw it for the first time some 10 or so years ago and between the lovely Tanya "Sheena" Roberts, the genuinely creepy mannequin moments previously mentioned by Burgo, and the amazingly schizo performance from Chuck Connors put this on the "must see" list. Sadly, I have to admit that I wasn't ready for the "twist" reveal of the movie's killer when I first saw it, but even knowing the big "secret" doesn't lessen the coolness of this flick. Four-out-of-Five for me!

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons

I too like this film quite a bit.  As I've gotten older I've grown to appreciate certain actors more and more...Connors is one of them.

For s**ts and giggles, I'd recommend checking out a film called SUMMER CAMP NIGHTMARE, though I think it was filmed under THE BUTTERFLY REVOLUTION, from the novel it was based on.  Sort of a MEATBALLS meets LORD OF THE FLIES, it follows a revolt of teen campers to overthrow their "despotic" counselors.  In a great twist on his staple persona, Connors is a somewhat kooky camp leader with a butterfly fascination, but it's William Ragsdale(FRIGHT NIGHT) who turns out to be the villain.
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

That looks AMAZING. AMAZING I SAY!

The discovery the other day that this was the answer to one of the "What was that film?" questions reminded me of it, too.  Years ago, I had never seen it and kept putting off watching the DVD.  When I eventually did, I found that it was pretty cool.  One of those plots that works, because, for some reason, it all makes sense to the person who is watching.

I'm going to have to watch this one again.
