Queen of Outer Space

Now that Queen of Outer Space has finally been released on DVD, I finally got the chance to see it. It was one of the few space movies I haven't seen.

I actually liked it. Better than I was expecting. Not a great movie, but it serves its purpose.

It's basically a Catwomen of the Moon remake. The uniforms the astronauts form Earth were wearing are straight out of Forbidden Planet. The Earth Space Station was straight out of Conquest of Space. The outfits of the Venus women seemed to be color coded like the Star Trek uniforms. I wonder if that's where Gene Roddenberry got that idea.

CATWOMEN OF THE MOON is one of my favorite B-movies and QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE is fun and worth a look.
