Searching for 2 movie titles

I am trying to find two different movies from I believe the 80's. My husband saw just a clip of each one way back in the day.
The first one is of an Indian in either New Mexico or AZ, his cows all died from having their blood sucked and the grandson goes to give him a proper burial and the grave is empty.
The second one is about an FBI agent that goes to Alaska to help solve a murder. Any suggestions on the titles? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

What jumps to mind for the first one is "Nightwing," though I cannot remember if they dug up anyone's grave in that movie.  "Nightwing" is about a horde of vampire bats on a reservation.

For the second one, I am guessing Shoot to Kill (1988) with Sidney Poitier and Tom Berenger; though it is in the Canadian wilderness and not Alaska.
