Aug. 11   Stir of Echoes: Homecoming,  Rob Lowe, evidently slumming it, stars as an Iraq war veteran haunted by visions of the dead.

Aug. 18    Solar Attack  Lou Gossett saves the world from solar flares run amok. Actually looks like Mark Dacascos is the real star with Lou playing the President.

Aug. 25   MegaSnake  Oh no, another giant snake movie.  Michael Shanks (aka Dr. Daniel Jackson from the recently canceled SG-1) must have a house payment due.

Sept. 15  Highlander: The Source   Hey, if there's only one why do they keep coming back!  Duncan McLeod, Methos, and some girl go searching for the source of their immortality and p**s off something called the Guardian.

This was supposed to be a theatrical release, but evidently they couldn't edit it into something a distributor would touch. Can't be good news when SciFi is premiering your movie.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Michael Shanks must have a big house, he was in a another Sci-Fi original Swarmed (2005) it was your typical Sci Fi winner too. It was on about a 2 or 3 weeks ago ... it you missed it, you really didn't miss anything.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I haven't been able to get a straight answer anywhere, but I read around in some forum that MEGASNAKE is the film that was to star FeedBack...last years Who Wants To Be A Superhero winner.

It strikes me a little unlikely, but I can't get much info on this latest lizard offering from Sci-Fi.
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

No offense to Rob Lowe, but do we really need a sequel to Stir of Echoes?

I mean, the first was was decent enough, but I saw the commercial for this and was just like, "Why? Why are they doing this?"

The majority of Sci Fi channel original movies are just bad and not enjoyable at all in the whole go bad it's good type thing.

I think I'd rather see what a few regular ol' people with a camera and a vision could come up with than some of the crap Sci Fi produces, I agree that their stuff doesn't even fall in to the so bad it's good column.

I've seen some of the Sci-Fi movies recently, but I don't think they're "Sci-Fi Channel" movies.  Some were Boo, SabreTooth, Mortuary, and Beast of Bray Road.

Granted, all were pretty terrible.  But I liked watching them.  Had my own MST3K type of commentary going on them.

I've noticed the Sci-Fi channel has this attitude of "if all else fails, make a sequel to a random movie."

I mean, seriously... Pumpkinhead 3 and 4?  Stir of Echoes 2?

What next?  Return of Rawhead Rex?  Dead and Buried 2?  No, wait, lemme guess.  Either Blood Freak's Revenge or More Pieces, and then a sequel to that called Even More Pieces.

Damn it Joe, if anybody from the Sci-Fi offices are trolling this forum, you may have just condemned us all!  :bluesad: heh heh

I'm waiting for them to pop out The Dentist 3.

Cause we all need that.

Or Night of the Demons 4.

Wasn't Mortuary directed by Tobe Hooper?

I know for a fact that Beast of Bray Road was an Asylum picture.  Sci Fi, when they're not running giant animal/killer weather movies have signed some kind of infernal pact with those guys to broadcast their trash.  God help us all if they ever decide to air Transmorphers.
