I believe this has been done before...but I thought it would be fun again...any favorite movie posters?
Here's a few I like a lot...for various reasons...

This one is just so weird ...its almost like a 'Count Yorga hat rack" or something!

Here it looks like Kong is giving the "Touch of Life" to another Kong...!

   this one just looks cool!

man, I need me a Count Yorga hat rack now...

I went on a binge buying up Thai movie posters last year. I always love how colorful and original they are. I have ones for Evil Dead 2, Terror of MechaGodzilla and Ebirah, Monster of the Deep up in our living room. Sadly I couldn't find any images of them online, but here are similar posters for Invasion of the Astro-Monster and the original Evil Dead.

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons
"I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder." - Jaws: the Revenge

MY ALL-TIME FAVE!!

Another real goodie.

I can't see to find it online anymore but I really liked the poster for 1990's LASER MISSION too.

I really want to buy more old-school interesting posters...  I was trawling through old exploitation type posters a while back and saw some interesting ones. [gotta love that Evils of the Night poster RC!  That's more like what I need]

The oldest I have is probably:

Though I do have a Fear and Loathing Poster, Evil Dead, Fight Club and a Kill Bill one I can't find a picture of.  They're all pretty generic and the result of a movie poster sale at uni one week...

I,unfourtantly, don't have any cool posters. If I did, I wouldn't have any place to hang them any way. My wife paints...she works in oils...(dam good too!0 She does beautiful work...kinda like if Van Gogh mixed with fantasy. So We have her stuff framed all over the house. I don't dare hang my artwork...too R-rated and insane.

   The posters I showed are ones I like...but ,unfourtantly...don 't own.  :bluesad:

I like this one ...really psychadelic...

This looks like a real low budget oddity...!

A German  poster...WHAT does Frankenstein have to do with Japense monsters?!?!

I want to buy more movie posters but I have only a small amount of space to hang them.  My wife demands that I only hang them in my home office, so I only have a few.

I have ones for Sin City, Fight Club and The Killer with the latter being my favorite:

Kind of a small image, and it certainly doesn't do it justice.  The one that I have is an original and it is in pristine condition.  What I love best about it is that it contains the best scenes from the film and is expertly drawn.  The art looks almost like a painting and is extremely detailed.

Otherwise, here are some of my favorites:

Daughters Of Darkness (Great flick!):

Evil Dead 2:

Dawn Of The Dead:

What is it about foreign posters that make them so much better than our domestic ones?

On a somewhat related note, has anyone ever seen any Polish movie posters?  They never quite match the films they are advertising.  Here are a few...

Marathon Man:

Weekend At Bernies:

The Shining:

Raiders Of The Lost Ark:

WTF!?

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

WOW. I LOVE the Polish SHINING poster!!! Why is it that nowadays, all American posters are so ...lame? No original art...just cheezy air brushed photos?

Haha, I didn't realized that Thing had a decorative cat head he liked to put on for special occasion Burg!

Awesome Hell House poster btw.

As for Suspiria, I picked up an original Italian theatrical daybill for the little lady's birthday a few years ago. The poster itself was about $60, but I paid another $100 to have it restored and put on a linen back, and another $40 for a custom frame to fit it properly.  It was worth it, though now I know I'll probably never be able to top it for future birthdays. It looks similar to the DVD art used for the new Blue Underground DVD release:

I'd like to do the same for this awesome Ghidrah original I picked up a couple years ago, but not till I've got the extra cash to invest in getting it put on a linen back and custom framed as well. It's very much like this one, only the one I have is a bit longer.

I think my favorite piece right now (not including the ridiculously tall 6ft French posters I have that will likely never be framed due to their height) is the original print Re-Animator poster hanging over our entertainment center. The one that the art for the most recent DVD release was based on. Beautiful, heh heh.

Boy....I know how this poor shmuck feels! This is from an old silent film.

This one is an ad for Universal's the INVISABLE MAN...yet note the star...Boris Karloff! This was before Karloff turned done the role...and of course, made Claude Rains a star.
