And you thought Trek isn't cool.

That looks awesome. Who wants to place bets on wether it is going to explode? I just ask, because I did a similar experement as a kid with 2 Dcell model rocket engines, 8 packs of bottle rockets, various remote control gizmoes, a GI Joe aircraft (flown bu Cobra commander!) and a pair of saftey goggles. I believe I still have part of Cobra Commanders right boot embeded in my skull somewhere..
I see you are playing stupid... Looks like you're winning

Torgo

amazing!

I really hope they do put a video of the launch up.  That's too cool.

I would like to fly this, so long as I don't have someone behind me with his finger on the trigger saying "I have you now!"  :buggedout:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Hehe, I was right. Those guys should have blown up more of their toys as kids. Then they would have known (plus had cool scars)

Hmmm, who calculated the structural strength on this one?

In the designer's defense, they seemed pretty sure beforehand that this thing was going to break up.  All they really did was verify that an X-wing design isn't viable for launching in an atmosphere.  Now the military understands those things are purely intended to be launched in space for short interstellar dogfights!
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Not to mention attacking floating battle planetoids who's defenses are geared towards large capital ships.
