Truly great gameplay will always transcend graphics.

I fully agree.  A bad game that looks good will only provide limited entertainment.  You have to have a GAME under all those graphics.

Question:  Anyone know anything about if they're gonna come out with a new Earthworm Jim game?

I heard something about the Wii possibly.

Jeez, I wish you guys could have a talk with most of the people that come thru my work! (I work at gamestop.) Mostly its the ps3 guys who are the graphics nuts.

I'm  still  trying to beat the National Championship stage trial on Hot Shots Golf Fore!  on the PS2.  Good thing I don't play golf in real life as I would probably hurt someone in real life.

Much the same reason I don't play.  Also, because I have a short fuse, much like my namesake, Happy Gilmore.  That's not a joke, either, which is sad.

I picked up Battlefield: Bad Company the other day for my Xbox 360 and it kicks some serious ass!

I didn't think it was gonna be all that good but for once the single player and multiplayer are both great.  Usually one sucks and the other doesn't but not in this game.
It also has a great sense of humor and some of the things that come out of your squadmate's mouths will make you bust out laughing.   :teddyr:

Lately, I've been playing the hell out of:

Spore
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Fire Pro Wrestling Returns

Patient7

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.  Terrific.
Barbeque sauce tastes good on EVERYTHING, even salad.

Yes, salad.

I picked up Star Wars: The Force Unleashed today and played it for a bit. It should be fun, though right now I'm a total spaz. I'm playing on the Wii, so the remote controls the light saber. I end up just swinging it willy nilly and hoping for the best. The force powers aren't much better; I use up all my force power because I hold the button down almost constantly instead of just when I really need it. I'm still getting used to the controls. The "A" and "B" button controls are backwards from most games I've played (it's usually "A" = jump and "B" = a secondary movement). In SW:TFU, you dash with "A" and jump with "B." I haven't gotten the hang of that config yet. There's lots of mayhem, and you can do lots and lots of damage, which is good, but I haven't gotten far enough to tell how engaging the storyline is yet. It's at least promising at this point. Now to wait a couple of days for the cheat codes to be published (if they haven't been already)...

I heard that it's basically God of War, but Star Wars...

Also, I just got back into Starcraft, and can't wait until Starcraft 2 comes out.
