A friend of mine did a refrigerator box robot costume for Halloween.  It was quite cheesy, but got me thinking.  It was equal quality to the Ro-Man or the robot in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.  Can anyone think of some more bad robots?

Oh man, those two whiny little Donald and Daisy Duck knock-off emo robots from Star Odyssey have to be the most obnoxious tin-plated little a-holes I've ever had to sit through the antics of. Oh the rage...  :hatred:

And when he shall die
Take him and cut him into little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

"Target Earth" is a good one.  There is also this robot from "Devil Girl from Mars"

The neurotic robot in Robot Holocaust looks like a waste of a ten-buck costuming budget.

I saw this on DVD from Netflix a couple years back and it was tough viewing. In fact I think there was only one robot during this invasion.

You answered two questions I have had, thanks!   This film was on a show I like called Super Atomic Television...  I had no idea what it was called, and it was bugging.  So thanks twice!

Oh yeah, thansk for the ideas, I can use these pics!

Here are a few more:

SEX KITTENS GO TO COLLEGE (1960)

THE MASTER MYSTERY (1919)

NEUTRON AGAINST THE DEATH ROBOTS (1960)

CRACKED NUTS (1941)

THE BOWERY BOYS MEET THE MONSTERS (1954)

MYSTERIOUS DOCTOR SATAN (1940)

THE VANISHING SHADOW (1934)

D-Man

Don't forget the evil robot in the Turkish Star Wars.   :teddyr:

Some prime examples, Gerry.

The robot from the Bowery Boys flick looks like an even worse example of a cardboard box robot than the one in SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS. And that one from THE VANISHING SHADOW is just... odd. Very odd.

Of course, Bela Lugosi got he whole scary evil robot thing exactly right in THE PHANTOM MENACE:

OK, it was a tv show, but Twiki on Buck Rogers was incredibly annoying.

Can't forget the robots from The Black Hole, but only the good guys. Maximillian was cool.

The Roddy McDowell voice for VINCENT made some sense, but who, even in Texas, would program a robot to talk like Slim Pickens?

I have a soft spot for BOB and VINCENT.  But I was of an impressionable age and still think thr Black Hole is one of the best movies I have seen.   Mind you I have only seen it twice, and none since I was 12 or so.

Don't get me wrong. There's a lot about The Black Hole that's really cool - the Cygnus, Maximillian, Dr. Rinehardt, the black hole itself. But Bob and Vincent are just a little too cartoony for me. They seem out of place in what is really a very dark movie.
