I was just today given a dvd called The Sci-Fi Invasion!

I was looking at the print of War of the Planets, the Al Bradley (Alfonso Brescia) movie and was very suprised. It was widescreen! I already have the Retromedia dvd and know only the beginning was in widescreen. I havent seen the prints on other multi-packs and dont know if its the same. On this particular DVD, the images were murkier and not as clear as the Retromedia release, but still impressive.
Does anyone know what the images are like on other War of the Planets dvd's? I will hopefully be able to take snapshots of this dvd and show them if the prints are not all the same.

Question for you Evan.  Does it seem to be a valid widescreen release or does it look to be modified and made widescreen?

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I own this one myself - it looks modified to me.

Evan is right, though: it is a tough one and worth Badmovies.org-ing.   :twirl:

Upon re-looking, it does indeed look modified. But the print is still different from others. There is the intro sequence at the beginning which is absent in the Retromedia release.
I still want to see the Spanish version of the film with the crazy music and singing. That should make its way to dvd.
