A quick and fun quiz for everyone.  To avoid any shenanigans I've PMed Andrew the answers.  If he'd like to turn this into something more than a bit of fun, like to offer prizes or something. he's welcome to do so.

The only clue I will give is this: All the screen caps in the easy column come from commercially available DVDs, most of the screen caps in the obscure column also come from store bought DVDs (though some may be 'shady'), and while most of the screen caps in the hardcore column may not have originated from commercial DVDs most of these movies were probably available on DVD at one time.

Good luck!

Scoring is as follows: Easy column, 5 points each; Obscure column, 10 points each; Hardcore column, 20 points each.  Total possible points 175.

Results calculated as follows: 0 points = Poseur!; 5-20 points = B-Movie Acolyte; 25-75 points = B-Movie Aficionado; 80-95 points = B-Movie Junkie; and anyone scoring 100+ earns bragging rights as an Hardcore B-Movie Fanatic G-d.

edit: Scoring system updated.

Scott

Man, that's a tough one. I think I can only guess one

The one with the eye patch female is Golden Temple Godess or one of the 3 films from the Jungle Shriek Show Triple pack.

Keep the photo trivia coming. Someone is going to know all of them.

question from the computer illiterate one,how can i enlarge the pics?my eyesight's not the best...

Doc Daneeka

I just click on the pic (pop up opens), roll my mouse over, an "enlarge" button should eventually appear in the bottom right corner, and click on that.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Or move your cursor over the image and click.  A second window should open with the full sized image, or at least the slightly smaller resized image I uploaded.  If anyone is having problems seeing the screen caps in that let me know and I'll upload the larger image file.

Captain Tars Tarkas

This is good stuff except I totally fail.  Some of those 1970s science fiction movies look familiar but it all blends together after a while.

Kester Pelagius

No more guesses?  Well I may have been a bit too hard on you all, this time around, so here's some clues (in no necessarily logical progression). .

Easy
1. sci-fi spoof
2. sci-fi sex farce
3. jungle sleaze
4. sword-and-sorcery
5. sci-fi take on classic in theatres now

Hard
1. Jack Palance
2. Fred Olen Ray
3. Dracula
4. Klaus Kinksi
5. ninja

Hardcore
1. necro
2. grieco
3. ninja
4. underground
5. fulci

If you can't get at least all the titles in the Easy column next time I'll be even easier on you.  ;)

Captain Tars Tarkas

Easy 5 is this one:  http://www.badmovies.org/movies/beowulf/ which I have not seen (the movie clip even takes place right after the screencap you took)

KYGOTC

maaaaaaan! I feel like such a N00b! I don't recognize ANY of these! The only thing that seems REMOTLEY farmiliar is 4-easy which looks like some Simbad movie.

That's two correct guesses on the easy column so far.

That's not too shabby considering I chose less familiar scenes to screen cap from.

I may have let my own preferences show by choosing so many sci-fi flicks, and most here like horror.  But not worries I've already started created a new quiz for the new year, and it'll be 100% cheesy horror.

And that's exactly why I chose that screen cap.

Because it's NOT a Sinbad movie.  In fact it's not even Arabian Fantasy!   :buggedout:

Oooh, that's a clue!   :bouncegiggle:

Who can forget the bellydancer who suddenly appears out of nowhere in this wonderful medieval sword-and-sorcery epic!
