does anyone remember a movie, maybe from the 80's where a guy, i think from the basketball team, shoots a person through the backboard during a game? also, someone gets caught masturbating at a perty or something like that. a friend of mine says that he always thought that al pacino played the head coach, but he DID NOT. he would have been much too young at the time.

Al Pacino was born in 1940. During the 80's he would have been mid-40's. How old is the coach supposed to be? The movie plot sounds really familiar.

Maybe your friend was thinking of Any Given Sunday? Which doesn't sound like your movie. But Al did play a coach in it. Football coach I think.

Could it have been Porky's Revenge [1985]?? There was a basketball team plot going on in that film and seeing as it was porky's, there is a good chance of some party taking place and some masturabation going down.
