I'm going to admit to liking the guy's music although some might find it "sappy".  Dan passed away yesterday after struggling with prostate cancer, he was 56.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Wow...no way....I never really liked hsi music but I remember him being popular and I have heard his songs...wow...56 years old...that's way too early.

Wow, RIP, Dan.  I loved your tunes, man.  Great relaxing, dozing music.

Prostate cancer?  Got my Dad at 60.  One of those things I would not wish on my worst enemy.

That's really sad; I had a close friend who loved Dan Fogelburg's music so much.  He passed away last year from complications of diabetes at 42; now his favorite singer has slipped away.  I'm bummed just hearing about it.

RIP, Dan.  I still share "John Sutter's Mill" with my  8th grade history classes every year.

I hope he has a child who can sing "Leader of the Band" at his funeral.

Sad news.  "Same Old Lang Syne" is a well-played song I never tire of, especially this time of year.
Goodnight, Daniel.

My oldest sister is a huge fan of his. She was shocked to hear from me today about his passing. I didn't know that he was sick actually.

While I didn't care for his music all that much I can at the same time see why he had such loyal and passionate fans.

My mom called me the day afterwards and told me about it.  She and my dad are really big fans of his, and fairly recently I fell in love with his album The Innocent Age.  A real shame, but at least he left a positive mark on the world.

I'm not a fan, but I know several people who are. When I told a good friend at work, who I had a hunch was a fan, it was news to him but he was defintiely sad about it.
