The Burgomaster

Here's another putrid, grade Z flick from Mill Creek's TOMB OF TERRORS 50 MOVIE PACK.  Luckily, the running time is only 58 minutes.

For about the first 15 minutes of this independent "shocker," a bunch of college kids sit around and talk about sex and also about things that scare them.  This leads to the inevitable mad killer (in a "Granny" mask), stabbing, chopping, and strangling them one by one.  The (minimal) gore effects are amateur quality and there is no suspense or horror.  Imagine a bad version of HALLOWEEN with "Granny" replacing Michael Myers.  And the ending is just plain stupid.

The two Mill Creek "Pendulum Pictures" 50 movie packs are treasure-troves of garbage that should delight most bad movie fans.  I'll continue to trudge through them and post my comments here . . .

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Whatever, this movie is awesome. I've probably seen almost every film on all those pendulum packs.

There's many a film here which shares that warning.

This movie is awesome.

I hope you're joking.
Nope. I like micro-budge indie films and I love to watch what people with full time jobs and families can do with a couple grand and as much spare time as they can muster. I think they did a good job on Granny and it was made about 9 years ago when shooting video was cheap, but not as cheap as it is now. They did a good job; in my opinion.

I remember watching this years ago! LOL. Lord only knows how it got released.
