The Burgomaster

This is another pathetic flick you can find in Mill Creek's TOMB OF TERRORS 50 MOVIE PACK.  Mercifully, the running time is less than 1 hour.

This is another "new kid in the neighborhood" movie.  The new kid meets a girl who introduces him to a "capture the flag" club.  The club consists of 2 teams of high-school kids who play games of capture the flag that eventually lead to severe injuries, thefts, and vandalism.

Parts of the movie don't make much sense, and some of the basic dialogue scenes are more interesting than the capture the flag segments.

The fight choreography (which includes martial arts) is very ambitious for a no-budget movie like this.  Unfortunately, it is TOO ambitious and usually looks very fake.

If they had cut some of the violence, this movie would have resembled one of the "ABC After School Specials" from the 1970s.  (Anyone who was a kid in the 70s should remember these "message" dramas aimed at kids and teenagers that were on ABC TV just before dinner time on weekdays).
