And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I saw that story last night and caulked it up to attempts to thin the herd. Stupid is as stupid does.

The headline alone is worth a thousand laughs.   :bouncegiggle:

I suppose now all those gadgets will have a sticker:  "WARNING:  you must still look out the windows of your car even while using GPS device."

That headline reminds me of a story involving an elderly German couple in Germany, who also had a GPS system, which told them to go straight ahead. Unfortunately, the system had not been updated to reflect that a large pile of sand had been dumped in the road blocking the road to traffic. But seeing that the GPS system told them to go straight, the couple went straight, hitting the sandpile at at high rate of speed. Fortunately, while their car was totaled, the couple escaped with only minor injuries.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

IF the man would have been killed in the accident, then he would have probably been nominated for a Darwin Award.

My Garmin actually has a similar warning screen when I turn it on.  I have to tap the screen to get rid of it.  I only change things when I'm stopped -- and off the road.
