Are government employees hired for their abilites to skirt around and not deal with any issue? They do seem more than adapt at giving one the run around, never answering direct questions and sending you from one department to another in a futile phone journey when you call them.

I seriously doubt many of the politicians running for election this year on a platform of "I feel nothing but honor and respect for the fighting men and women of our beloved armed forces" would actually let the average enlisted man date their daughters.

Monday January 7, 1991

Took the Christmas tree down tonight after Dad got home. Helped him box it up and he carried it to the attic. I scooted the box into its corner. Always a bummer when it's gone
