This actually marks the third major issue I've had with the library this semester.

First, due to a computer error, my overdue fines were calculated to be $107.  Once that was straightened out, my overdue fines were revealed to in fact be $8.  The only reason I got out of being forced to pay the $107 is that I happened to catch the library supervisor with a modicum of common sense and sympathy.  He looked through the charges and found the errors and set things right.  The other library supervisor would have simply said, "The computer says you owe $107, therefore you owe $107."

Second, upon attempting to order books through inter-library loan (since the college library is slanted heavily towards biology and education theory, historians like myself get regularly screwed by the library), I discovered that the book that my professor strongly urged me to look at, apparently didn't exist.  There was no record of it any where in the system.  I ended up having to borrow my professor's personal copy. 

Now this.  Thank Calliope I'm graduating.

So I'm watching Beowulf on the Sci-Fi Channel.  There's this hot babe, fully clothed - yet still they put that fog effect over her chest.  Apparently her top was quite thin.  Apparently - because I didn't get to see it.  Okay, who makes these decisions?  She's fully clothed, yet still they obscure it.  That's just wrong.  WRONG I say!

Although they have more movies, 'Blockbuster by Mail' is WAY slower than Netflix, add pretty much an extra day each direction for every DVD. I sent one of each out on a monday, I got the netflix movie on wednsday, and the BBM movie on Friday.

Man, this thread is getting depressing... I'm thinking random thoughts of puppies and cotton candy... no, that's just getting me more depressed... now I'm thinking of men dressed as frog monsters in rubber suits with visible zippers... there, I'm starting to feel better!
