Hmm my girlfriend apparently did that too on Facebook to support breast cancer awareness and then she informed me us "men" weren't supposed to know about it. Well I want to know about it as I want to support that cause too. Why can't/shouldn't men support such a cause? Besides men can get breast cancer too. And with regards to testicular and prostrate cancer. There should be more awareness there too. Not sure what good doing silly stuff like that on Facebook is going to do though when you really think about it? Better to try and inform people about this stuff seems to me, encourage them to get scans, etc.

So, if men aren't supposed to know about it (whoops) then how is that raising awareness?

It was a simple, harmless 'stunt' that worked just the way it was supposed to: it was inevitable that eventually the 'secret' would be out.  Until then, it was to be between 'just us girls' and the 'mystery' of it all would gain attention: as it did.  The initial secrecy was intended to make it intriguing - to get it talked about.  That it made it to several news reports has to be a 'bonus'.

As a side effect it certainly drew attention to the women in the lives of all the men out there: women who potentially could be affected by breast cancer.

I went to the mall today...few things I learned...

1.) Arcade etiquette sucks out there.  Whatever happened to the person standing behind you gets a turn?

2.) Faux Hawks are silly looking...on everyone who has them.

3.) (and one Jack will appreciate) I find a pair of pants on sale at Old Navy for 12 bucks more desireable than a Stay Puff Marshmallow Man bank.

I don't do the facebook so I don't know what you're talking about, but now I want to know what the colors mean!!!

I know!!!!   But it's a secret.   :teddyr:

EDIT:  OK, you pressured me into it.  It's the colour bra they are wearing at the moment.  I updated my status to say None.

Yay!

Yes, it is the colour of the bra being worn by the poster.  The intent was to raise breast cancer awareness.

Someone I know proposed a similar campaign to raise awareness of testicular cancer...Trevor's entry might be interesting!

I thought not wearing a bra reduces your chances of getting breast cancer... or so some dude said.

Nothing like a good sale  :teddyr:  I've been taking advantage of a few too many of them myself lately.

I'm not being quite as productive as I would like to be today. I can't seem to get motivated, even though relaxing isn't such a bad thing considering I have to scurry back to the rat race tomorrow. Ah, I'm so conflicted...

I've said it so many times before, but you really can't beat a good coffee with doughnuts.

I agree, I tried it once and the damn coffee squirted into my eye!

It's true!  Not wearing a blouse reduces your chances even further.
