So I watching some Sci-Fi movie the other day that depicts a future where machines have enslaved all of humanity.  Man, that is such a DUMB premise for a film.  I mean, really, what are the odds that would actually happen?

I rewatched Terminator Salvation the other night.   The machines had Reese, why didn't they just kill him?  Seem like it would be easier than trying to take John Connor out with the CGI Ah-nold.

In the continuing saga of my internet connection, they ran a new cable to my house yesterday.  The old one went from one telephone pole to another and finally to the house - it was 200 feet long and they said that as old as it was, moisture had probably gotten through the insulation and was causing intermittent problems.  So they ran a new one from the telephone pole in front of the house.  It's only 75' long.  They said it gave me a 7 db increase in signal strength, which I'm assuming is good.  The technicians seemed quite impressed.  Soooooo...maybe it will work reliably now.  I've got a big orange cable running all around the house now;  they said the new cable would be underground, but they seem to have forgotten about the under part of that.  Maybe someone will show up to bury it eventually?

I know its wrong to hate people who prefer dubbing over subtitles.
But I still do.

Some people say its distracting.
I think having a strange voice coming out of an actor's mouth when it clearly doesn't belong there is more distracting.
