Maybe I dont want to lather, rinse, and then repeat.

I really enjoy having bowel movements at work.  Just go in on break, sit down, and relieve myself.  Since I'm on the clock, it's like I'm getting paid to express my opinion of the company.

You know what's disappointing? When you're just getting into a series that toes the line in terms in good taste, and then one episode goes well beyond your moral limits and renders you incapable of feeling any sympathy or empathy for any of the main characters. Especially if you recommended the series based on the previous episodes.

Let me guess... Family Guy and the infamous "Brian and Stewie are trapped in a bank vault" ep?

I totally just nailed a fruit fly using an electronic bug zapping tennis racket.  My day is complete.

Does it revolt you when music you used to listen to and enjoy from a few years back shows up and is now used in a television commercial as much as it tends to revolt me. :bluesad: And should it really revolt me as much? I mean everyone's got to survive now don't they?

Update, I actually ended up killing one more fruit fly by work day's end.

Not to be obtuse, but it should revolt exactly as much as it revolts you. It's a free will thing. Ultimately, it's all on the artist as far as if a song gets used for advertising. If the record contract gives the artist full rights to make that decision, then the artist is deciding on it. If the contract gives the label that right, and the artists was aware of it at the time of signing, then it was still the artist's choice to sign the contract. If the artist was unaware that he/she/they was giving up that right at the time of signing, then it's still on them for not reading the contract or hiring a lawyer to do so. Also, endorsement works both ways. Sometimes, for example, a beer company might sponsor an artist's tour. The beer company finances the tour, and in return they get their expenses back plus they sell their beer at the events and get to advertise their brand. Sometimes, the artist may agree as part of that deal that they will put their music in that company's beer commercial.

Sorry to use the beer analogy, Jase, I know you're straight edge. It was just the first thing that popped in my head as the type of company that commonly sponsors tours. You could just as easily correlate it to instrument sponsorship. Eddie Shredder plays Gibson guitars. Gibson offers and endorsement to Eddie Shredder because he is so popular. Eddie Shredder gets all the free Gibson guitars he wants. Gibson gets to use Eddie Shredder's likeness and music to promote how great their guitars are. If Eddie Shredder uses them, then they're good enough for you.

In any case, Jase, if those types of exchanges revolt you, then you are exactly as revolted as you should be.

I think it's weird the way certain patches of hair near my chin seems to grow faster and thicker than the area around it.
