I've just decided that when someone throws negative attitude my way I'm going to eat it and sh!t out positivity.

I was running the soundboard for a local concert band today, not realizing it was a church event and was 4 hours of Christian holiday music. My brain has turned to goo.  :bluesad:

You know, there's one way which, IMHO that Paint is actually better than Photoshop: Shapes.

When I want to throw in some simple shapes, Paint is easy.  Just click on the color, click on the shape tool and make one.  Suppose I want to make one with a line of one color but filled with another color?  Hey, easy!

Or suppose I, gasp, want to make a circle with a line of one color, but NOTHING inside?  Hey, easier still.  But wait, suppose I want it to have a THICKER line?  Hey, just click the line tool, click the thicker line, go BACK tot he shapes tool, and make your circle.

With Photoshop, I gotta click all sorts of crazy options.  Turn a shape into a path, do "stroke path" and then, oh damn, the line is too thin.. how do I increase the line size?  Oh, hell if I know!

(sighs)

Now, I gotta go off and find some tutorials.  All I want to do is create a nice elliptical circle around something on a Photo, is that so much to ask for?  Not asking for miracles here... seems like this should be REAL simple.

Oh, wait, figured it out!  I need to use the MARQUEE tool (not the shapes), create the shape I want, right click on STROKE, and viola!  For some odd reason THIS stroke has a pixel option, so I can make the line bigger.  Why this isn't so on the SHAPES tool, I have no clue!

Am I the only one that finds this confusing as hell?

I just realized that my tiny town of 4000 has 5 bars. That seems like an awful lot for such a small community

Some days, as I drive past the chop shops, adult motels & shopping plazas long abandoned but for a lonely liquor store, I can't help but question the character of those types of people who "don't want some box-mart in their neighborhood".

Do you live in Wisconsin by any chance? That would be an average ratio of bars/people there.

If they ever develop an oxygen substitute, I think "Moxygen" would be a cool brand name.

Illinois. Maybe the cold weather has something to do with it?   :teddyr:

Trenton, NJ-same thing.  At one time, TONS of stores (from mom and pop video stores to Chinese restaurants) were open and flourishing. NOW, they're all boarded up, with the steel shutters drawn, and only the lone bar or liquor store takes center stage.

Not to mention the local gang bangers who stand on the corner outside the bars, selling their wares and shaking hands using their hand symbols and making the same gestures at passers-by.  Not even the police will go to some of these places.
