Now I just gotta survive the damn Gremlins theme...And just when it nearly leaves my head, my little brother wanted to watch the first one (he's eight, but a tough enough little twerp to handle the film). He loves that microwave bit so much, just like his big bro...*Sniff* So precious.

I went to Wal-Mart and guess what they had?  Garbage Pail Kids stickers, Flashback series 2.  It's basically where they're reprinting the old Garbage Pail Kids from the 80s, but they also had some neat backs, including parody of Facebook and several "Where Are They Now" type card when they show GPK characters as they are today.  I have to say, it was pretty clever.

Yes, I confess, I bought four backs, and plan to buy more later on.

If a gay couple gets married (Gay or lesbian, it doesn't matter) who's name is dominant? In tradition the Man replaces the woman's name, what happens if a couple is the same gender?

From the gay couples I know, it really just depends.  Most of the time they will both use a double last name, consisting of both their last names put together.  Other times, they'll either just keep their original last names, or even both change their last names to something completely different.

One person is always the dominant one in any relationship, regardless of sexual orientation.  I read an interesting article in the New Scientist magazine a while back.  It said that in any homosexual couple where there are children, the child decides who is the "mother" and who is the "father".  The couple usually then takes on those roles naturally and automatically.

At the time of printing scientists and psychologists still weren't quite sure how the child determines that role differentiation for themselves.  I think that kids are very good at sussing out people's characters and motives because they are pure and not bound by any social conventions as to what they should think and feel about someone.
