Terminator Salvation isnt that bad considering it's directed by a guy who wasnt lucky enough to be a given a proper name at birth.

I think he's named after the McGriddles from McDonald's.

What is the Star Wars quote I'm thinking of that's like " don't hate the machines or worship the machines use them " or something

I tried reading De Sade once, but couldn't get into it. It felt detached, like he was writing a synopsis of someone else's work.

I grew up living next to a devout Pentecostal woman from West Virginia, who would tell me things like the Pope's crown had "666" carved inside it. My dad used to joke that she was going to kidnap me sometime and deprogram the Catholic school right outa my head. Well, one summer day when I was twelve she came over and asked if I would like to go to a Bible camp off in the Appalachian Mountains. When I declined she started crying and I felt so bad for her I halfway wished I'd say yes. I couldn't go in any case because I had to go see my grandparents for a few weeks but the intensity of her desire to get me to go to that Bible camp has always made me wonder if maybe my dad's kidding around wasn't closer to reality than he knew...
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

After a few decades without it, I got cable a couple of months ago.

I got the FIOS basic package, & I'm totally weirded out by which channels I do & don't get.

DisneyWorld is a lot of fun so far . . . but can it REALLY be the happiest place on earth without Dr. Pepper?

Going to a big wedding tomorrow, my niece is getting married. Bought a new suit, shoes, shirt but no tie because I hate ties. So far I'm the only one without a tie at the wedding from our side of the family. I feel like a rebel.
