Can you imagine living in a country where your next door neighbor can send in troops if they want, and there's nothing you can do about it?

Would any Canadians like to chime in on that question? 

My birth country of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) used to launch raids into Mocambique and Zambia quite a lot.

That's the semi-autonomy agreement. Even Russia isn't using the argument that Ukraine had invaded Crimea! They say they can go into any country where ethnic Russians live to protect those people's interests.

By the way, I have friends in Ukraine who actually live a couple of blocks from Maidan. I've actually been following Ukrainian/Russian politics for years. My friends were predicting something like this would happen, and I thought they were just being paranoid.

I have to say- Marxist idea was good in theory, not so much as it was put into action.

We live with that awareness.  However: the last time you lot tried it, it did not go at all as you expected.
