I can't help thinking, I haven't heard enough about those friends of his that tried to cover his tracks for him... I'm still not clear on what the heck they were thinking...

the most intense focus here has been on the elder brothers wife. She was not offered immunity in exchange for testimony and fingers are crossed that it means they are going to charge her once the main trial is over.

I think one or two of the friends who tried to destroy evidence and so forth were charged.

Two free apps I was interested in downloading on my phone yesterday wanted access to who I call and who calls me. They pretty much wanted ALL information from my cell phone. Screw that.

I wonder if those early Mesoamerican societies didn't vanish because after watching all those human sacrifices, the people took the Conquistador's invasion as a perfect opportunity to s**tcan the whole "civilization" thing once and for all.  Maybe it wasn't the primary cause, or even the secondary or tertiary cause, but somewhere lurking in the back of those people's minds must have been the idea that they'd be better off without any of that.

I wonder if the same thing wouldn't have happened in Russia if Stalin would have put the gulags in downtown Moscow instead of Siberia?

We frequently have snowshoe hares on our lawn and in our backyard. Of course there's a group of foxes that have started hanging around as well. I definitely prefer the hares.
