Spent last night on patrol looking for a 86 year old woman with dementia who had went out and got lost. As far as I've been able to find out, she is still missing. Glad it was a warm night last night and hope she is found safe and well soon.

This morning I have -

- gone to the local store and bought fried fish for breakfast.
- read and commented on a January 2004 journal entry from a friend.
- washed all the dishes.
- caught up on the laundry.
- written a (very) little bit on my new book.

Is It really that good an idea to name a ship "Fitzgerald"?

That's 'Edmund' to you.  Is 'Boaty McBoatface' better?

Well, considering the news yesterday, I don't think I'd name a Navy Destroyer after a Gordon Lightfoot song about a freighter that couldn't handle an inland storm...

It's kinda hard to imagine that a cartoon character created by a misogynistic psychologist & bigamist in the 1940s has since  become a feminist icon...
Who's that?

Wonder Woman, created by William Moulton Marston.

Those things are bulls**t. They've hooked them up to plants and gotten readings off of them.  I could be wrong, but I really don't think plants are lying about anything and yet, the legal system still lets these things ruin peoples' lives everyday.

Is it really therapeutic to write about bad stuff that happened to you in the past?  Been trying it lately and all it seems to do is make me feel crappy and wish I hadn't thought about it.

Personally, I've never trusted plants.

I am really glad today is my mother's birthday, because that means she was born, for if she was not, I would probably have been incarnated in, like, Peru, and I hate lomo saltado.

Two of my wifes cousins are coming over from the US to visit for a week. Their dad has just found out that his cousin who he grew up with lives about 90 minutes away from us. It is indeed a small world.
