I would not recommend people buy individual stocks unless you're doing it for fun. Buy a mix of indexed ETFs (SPY, IWN, EFV, & TLT)

Sorry, ETF is "exchange traded fund" (trades like a stock but is really a share of many stocks in a particular category). The rest aren't acronyms but ticker symbols, the actual code for the investment that you'd use to check the price. SPY is large cap stocks, IWN is small caps, EFV is non-US stocks and TLT is US treasury bonds.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I was looking up more info on DC's Sandman and apparently his sister is Death, whom ER's avatar pic is of.
yeah no.

Do yourself a favor and get:

Death: The High Cost of Living

Death: The Time of Your Life

And the stand-alone Endless Nights which has all seven of the Endless in their own tales.

Death is up there with John Constantine and Morpheus and all other best of the best characters in graphic novels. I have never once met anyone who was not completely in love with her.

Well... except maybe Sarah from The Maxx.

[about her schoolmates]
Sara: They're all necro-nerds and Sand freaks. They think death is romantic. Death is hard and cold and ugly, not some cute chick.

I was doing research on AP policies for various universities and I realized on one University's page they had TWO typos.

No biggie, right?  I mean, hell, I probably make like six or seven each post.  Thing is though, they were the SAME WORD.  They had misspelled "university".  TWICE.

Mom's dementia is getting worse. It's to the point we have to worry about convincing her to give up driving and we're even wondering how to get her to give up control over her finances. She's not going to be happy (who would be?). Dreading the discussion.

Now I know how Mike Pence must feel.

(Sorry for the political joke, but give me a break, it's been a tough week).

Almost as bad as that, I used to spell "intelligence" as "intellegence" til I was....well along in years. Ironic, huh?

Good luck, Rev. Hopefully she'll know your motives are based in love and caring, and that will reach something inside her to make this difficulty easier.

The novels of Lewis B. Smith are darn good reads.

Got the final results of my dyslexia test finally. I definately don't have it, so I no longer have to feel quite so Schrodingers about that.

On the other hand I have been diagnosed with depression instead. Might have to do a six month course of anti depressants, although I've said I'd rather try and deal with it without drugs. On the plus side, if I do start them it's been recommended that I get two weeks sick leave to adjust to the meds, so I guess thats a silver lining.

Going back about eight months, Kristi really wanted to see 'Hidden Figures' when it came out in cinema and we didn't get to see it. I secretly picked it up and went to put it on. Came as an awesome surprise when she asked if we could watch 'Zombiesaurus' instead. When she does something unexpected like that though, I do tend to start getting a bit paranoid in a 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' type way.

Trust me, you most likely got the better deal.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.
