Ok, not sure what to do here.

My neighbor's daughter is applying to be part of the local police youth cadet program.  Great for her!  She's 16 and is excited about a law enforcement, and it's great to see a teenager with drive and thinking about her future.  What I'm stuck on is that she listed me as a reference (she asked and I agreed), and the question I'm stuck on is basically "Would you hire this person, and why?"

That's where I'm stuck.  No I wouldn't hire a 16 year old girl for a position in law enforcement.  I also wouldn't hire this girl because I know her and I believe that would be a breach of ethics and it would have to be someone else's decision to avoid a bias decision.  Of course all that isn't REALLY what they are asking is it?  The problem is I really don't want to sit down to write out a one page document explaining my mixed feeling on this.  The flip side is that I feel like if I don't explain my mixed feelings on this does that then make the answer I give a bias answer and won't be taken into account?  Should I just stop over thinking this and say "Yes, I would hire her because she's a great kid and an outstanding member of the community"?

HELP!
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?

I think you're overthinking it and you should just say "Yes, I would hire her because she's a great kid and an outstanding member of the community" (or whatever). She's not being hired for an actual position in law enforcement, it's an entry level training program. They are just looking for red flags, like she uses drugs or is totally irresponsible.

I think most convicts should get their voting rights restored after release. Permanent abolition of voting rights is one way if keeping minorities from voting.

Btw in some countries like Israel convicted felons can vote while in prison,  like the guy who assassinated prime minister rabin ages ago.

Bush, i agree with rev. They're asking if you consider her mature enough and responsible enough to hire her in your own business, and obviously, you would. as bright as she seems, i would too.

Something you can find in the vitamin aisle at walmart, easier to find in gnc & other vitamin stores. Did wonders for this pain I was having in my left shin about ten years ago, & still helps out with my knees.

After 50 years in prison I don't think leslie van houtten will be much of a threat to the world if she's paroled.
