I've seen three videos where they add milk to spaghetti sauce. They never really explain why, they just do it. How weird, and google wasn't much of help either.

I was having some banter with my boss earlier and he jokingly said "Just remember I'm the one who'll be writing your assessment."

I pointed out to him that since I didn't want to be promoted what was the worst he could do? Write me a good assessment?

Could be, but the milk made the sauce pale. I like my tomato sauce as red as possible. It just looks more appetizing.

  that's bolognese sauce, claws. the cream gives it a rich sweetness that's very distinctive, even though it's such a small amount.

I've never heard of this, but I guess it makes sense. I thought it was just another new foodie trent or something.
