I can see how a threesome is more of a great idea, not so much great in practice.
yeah no.

One of the worst things about working in a warehouse/factory  during the summer is when they have the large doors open and some birds fly in.  You hope they find their way out but that's not always the case.  This last Friday a small family of swallows got themselves into the warehouse.  This Monday morning -one's dead on the floor and another one is sitting very still near by.  Still able to move a little but clearly on its last legs and needing help.

I go looking for a box or something to try and get it outside -hoping its not too late. By the time I one and get back to it- the poor bird had died.  Worse still, the already dead one had been run over by one of the forklifts- so I had to go get the janitors to clean up this mess and put some disinfectant in the area.

Things is-I know there was more than two birds.  Meaning someone else in another part of the warehouse may have had a similar experience today.

Sorry if this ones a bit sad, but I needed to put it somewhere.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Three days on the beach were very very nice, but it is even nicer to be HOME again!

I am saddened by your post and feel symapthy for the sorrow you felt. Feeling sorrow for bad things that happen is part of being a good caring person,  which  yoiu clearly are.

No, feeling sorrow shows you are capable of pathos. Letting your sorrow motivate you to positive action shows you're a good person. Kind of like when you posted belittling the sending of "thoughts and prayers" in a time of disaster, sorrow alone accomplishes little without deeds behind it.

So what are you going to do with your sadness? I guess that's the question here.

In my workplace we have tons of pidgeons and it's not uncommon seeing them dead all over the place. Recently I saw one lying there while another was at its side, as if it were mourning. It just stood there, static, for minutes, while I watched. Every once in a while the pidgeon would gently pick its dead partner in vain, as if it were saying "please, wake up". I felt extremely sad about the situation...

...until the "mourning" pidgeon started to copulate with the corpse. Yeah, pidgeons do that, I've heard crows go for it too.

I think that, sometimes, we put too much human traits into animals. I don't say it's bad, but it mislead us into believing things that aren't there.

No, I'm not criticizing you, I was just curious and giving you a chance to explain yourself, because in past posts you made fun of people who felt sympathy and sent "thoughts and prayers" which I guess you thinks makes someone stupid, and having "sadness and sympathy" which you said makes someone a "good person."

Would you fill me in on the difference and why you think one makes you "good" and in the other case merits ridicule?

I'm curious.....

Thanks, but re-reading what I wrote and some of the responses-I realize now I sounded melodramatic.

Don't get me wrong. Given the same situation over again I'd still try to help and do what I could.  I don't like what happened with them or seeing any animal suffer needlessly , but its not like I broke down crying when it happened.

Its the kind of thing that starts the week off on a bad note-and so far this week at work has been kind of lousy - even if no birds had gotten locked inside.

As far as I know I made up the term "netlag" which is when you're tired the next day from staying up late on the internet. Feel free to proliferate it.

So, I bought Terraria on sale from Steam, and I can't even figure out how to build a damn house.  Even watched a walkthrough of some guy playing the game and still can't figure out what I'm missing (my guy doesn't seem to want to place walls for some reason.)  Now it's night and everything in creation keeps attacking me while I'm trying to build.

(sigh)

Guess I'm getting old.. young me would have probably had this worked out and up to level 200 (or whatever) by now...

It seems at least once a year now, mostly during summer, my rear view mirror comes loose and falls off. Happened again this Saturday.   I've tried several different brands of glue/ adhesive to fix it.

Now I'm not an engineer, or a car designer, or anything thing like that.  But why does the rear view mirror need to be glued to the windshield?   Could they build a little housing structure out of the glass on the windshield.  Or could they simply have the mirror attached to the frame of the car itself.

My car makes this annoying sound when I accelerate, especially at around 35- 40 mph and 60 mph. It probably wouldn't bother me, but I drive uber and am afraid of getting low ratings from customer. I love the car, a fairly old toyota matrix, but my mechanic can't fix it so prob have to get a new car. it has 160k miles

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls might be the worst film I have ever seen. Manos is more coherent than this. I urge you to not see this; it's basically torture porn, vomiting, and bad Hell visions.
yeah no.

Sounds like a movie I can't wait to not see.  :bouncegiggle:
