     Did'ya ever notice, in some close-ups of Shaggy, it looks like he's got a doobie stashed behind his ear?
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

     Wolfman Jack even had a cartoon in the 80's; can't find a YouTube.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

Mutant League...was that the one with the mutant guys that played sports? There was a ghoulish looking guy...etc.?

I think there are some good lessons to be learned here.

1. Never do a cartoon spin-off of a popular TV Show: Gilliagan's Island, The Dukes of Hazzard, etc.

2. Never give a celebrity his own cartoon, just because he's a celebrity: Mr.T, Garry Coleman.

3. Never bring back beloved characters as children: Muppet Babies, Flintstone Kid's, A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

4. Never do cartoon based on a video game: Pac-man, Donkey Kong, etc.

5. To quote Hal Spark's never "Give 'em a monkey and send them to space." The p***ycats in Outer Space.

6. Never let Tom and Jerry be friends.

7. Never let adult characters speak in a Peanuts cartoon, have you ever seen "It's the Pied Piper Charlie Brown?" It's an unholy abomination!

8. Warm cuddly characters like the Care Bears and Rainbow Brite, will turn your child into a serial killer!

I agree with all your points, except this one.  Muppet Babies and A Pup Named Scooby Doo were spectacular.

There were some cartoons I liked based on video games, like The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic X, or Pokemon.

I'm 40 so my frame of reference is Pac Man and Donkey Kong. But I remember that Pokemon was huge when I worked in the Kmart's toy dept in the late 90's. I never watched it, but kids by the dozens were coming in asking for the toys.

Neither Pokemon nor The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog are good shows (unless you count campiness), but they were fun.  In fact, I still find them fun.  :smile: 

I've never seen the Pac-Man show, but I'd like to.  If I can enjoy "Pac-Man Fever", it shouldn't be that bad.

Granted, I don't recall a single episode, although I recall watching it.  I'm just gonna assume it's bad, although...I did enjoy the films.

There were a lot of cartoons I probably didn't like when I was a kid, that I would like now. That's because I'm just so nostalgic. I'm always on YouTube trying to track down something I might have only seen once and have just a tiny memory of.

Crusader Rabbit, though it was innovative in the sense that it was half assed, which is what most cartoons would eventually become.
