Hero with a cane and small monsters/demons

It isn't Contamination either. The movie itself is fun, even with all the weird "special effects".

I think I have to perform a lobotomy on my friend to see if that will help him to remember more.

The lobotomy were a success!
It wasn't in a basement afterall. The monster were in the attic (or second floor), but it was sorta stuck in the floor. Like it had roots that "glued" it to the floor. The monster was either an ordinary man that lived in the house that got transformed slowly over a length of time, or the monster were there from before and the man in the house got eaten (amongst other unlucky victims).

This is all I could get out of him. Sounds familiar, anyone?
