Since there's already a thread for electronica, how about one for just straight up drum solos? I'm sure we'll get some one posting more classics, but for now, enjoy:

KJ Sawka - some Jungle beats:

I thought that KJ Sawka video was going to be B.S., but that was kind of neat.  Stephen Perkins is awesome.

Terry Bozzio:

Another Bozzio:

Stevie Wonder (I didn't realize he played more than keys):

The filming here is HORRIBLE, but Royal Hartigan is a great and fairly unknown drummer:

Owen, a force of nature:

Yeah Perkins is my favorite...although I'm kinda biased as Jane's is my favorite band.  Yeah that Bozzio is pretty sweet -he was quite the influential drummer!  I dig the other postings too - nice!

Have to admit, the one that was most entertaining was Owen.

I can't post a video, but I was at a concert (a Christian-music group called David & the Giants) when the electricity went out in the auditorium. The drummer kicked off a 15-minute drum solo in the dark while they worked on the lights. And then, when the lights came back on, he continued to play, eventually moving off of the drum set and playing lead guitar (he drummed on the strings while the guitarist fingered the notes). Awesome stuff. Unfortunately, he left the band shortly after that and they went downhill quickly.

There's a not over-long drum solo in THE BEATLES' "The End" off of Abbey Road...
Let's not forget CHICK WEBB (no real video available...) or GENE KRUPA!!  (Playing here with BUDDY RICH.)
