RETURN OF THE BLIND DEAD - Good film like the one before it. There is this mayor character that is a real scum bag and the Templars are neat like in the first film TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD. I liked it.

THE AMAZING TRANSPARENT MAN - The film has a rough first 30 minutes, but the rest is good. Especially the ending. Some ex-military guy wants to raise an army of invisible soldiers. They blackmail this convict to do the experiement and they aren't smart enough to figure that an invisible guy just might turn on them (or leave altogether). Worth viewing.

EMPIRE OF THE ANTS - Ants become giants as a result of waste dumping. What were those repeated scenes of magnified ants on a tree images? and those close ups of the attacks of hairy headed ants ripping people up? The movie also has Joan Collins in it. The feel of the film reminded me of SLAVE OF THE CANIBAL GODDESS.

My thoughts, if you'll have them:

"Return of the Blind Dead" - It left me a little cold, especially after the first film.  The whole "Sunlight-kills-them" thing, and all.  Plus, I didn't think the story was as good.  Still, both RotBD and its predecessor a better than they have any right to be.

"Empire of the Ants" - This was a childhood fave, right up there with "Food of the Gods."  It is sad to be so young and so devoid of taste.  It's been a while since I've seen EotA, and I remember liking it the last time I saw it, unlike the abysmal FotG.  Something about giant ants, I guess.

The other movie I have yet to see.  Sounds good (or at least watchable)

Yes, THE AMAZING TRANSPARENT MAN is watchable. You'll like the second have of it. If you like Sci Fi 50's films. I have it on a DIAMOND DVD double feature with THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE.
